If you can, travel to the coastline of the Western United States anywhere from Southern California to the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. (This includes Western Canada). If you can't travel to the coastline, pray where you are at on that day. The nautical term 'May Day' is from the French word m'aider which translates literally "help me". This translation from the French was deliberate and not a corruption of the word through the years. It dates back to the 1927 International Radio Telegraph Convention when it's use was codified. Dear Prayer Net & Friends, A prayer summit of intercessors from around the Northwest was held this weekend in Astoria, Oregon. Regional prayer leaders from US Strategic Prayer Network, Women's Aglow, Wailing Women, Next Reformation Network, local pastors, ministry leaders and intercessors converged for two days of sharing and prayer. There were representatives from as far as Seattle, Portland, and Albany. The purpose of our gathering was to hear from the Lord concerning the threat of a major earthquake and tsunami that could affect the entire west coast of North America. We know that the danger is a much publicized scientific fact - but what you may not know is that the Lord has been warning intercessors to pray and has revealed in many ways that the tsunami threat is real and the loss of life will be great unless we pray. An informal survey was taken at the prayer summit this last
weekend. It revealed that upwards of 75% of the attendees had
received a vision, a dream, or a revelation from the Lord of a
coastal tsunami. We could not ignore the fact that dozens of
intercessors from around the world have also received this same
revelation. It was also no coincidence that on Saturday, the
nearby coastal city of Seaside, OR had a tsunami drill. The
prayer summit agreed that a worldwide call to prayer be made for
the west coast of North America and intercessors who live within
traveling distance be encouraged to go to the coast and pray on
May 1st, 2005. This wall of prayer from the Aleutian Islands of
Alaska to the north and to Southern California to the south will
be a cry for the Lord's mercy and help in the face of this
overwhelming threat. We believe that prayer can prevent or
lessen the impact of a major earthquake and tsunami off the
coast of North America. Satan wants to destroy multitudes of
precious souls before a great revival takes place in this
region. The Holy Spirit is rallying an army to stand in the gap.
When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord
will raise up a standard against him! Please pray and forward
this message to intercessors everywhere. We especially want to
let our brothers in California and Alaska to know about this
prayer effort. We feel it is the Holy Spirit who is calling us
to unified prayer about this matter. We believe the Holy Spirit
will reveal to each group of intercessors, how they are to pray
and where they are to go. We are in a race between the bowls of
mercy and the bowls of wrath. May our prayers tip the scales -
that the Glory of the Lord be revealed upon the Earth, and that
the knowledge of the Lord cover the land as the waters cover the
